Follow the instructions on the Checklist to be prepared to drive in the mission.

Please bring your driver’s license from your home state/province with you into the mission field. If your license expires before the date of your release from the mission, go to your Department of Motor Vehicles office and request an extension or new driver’s license sufficient to cover your missionary service and your return home. 

Utah: (If you have a Utah driver’s license you will be required to appear in person to renew your license. If you have any questions, contact your local Driver’s License Division. For those who reside in Utah, the Driver’s License Division website is located at: www.driverlicense.utah.gov.)

A valid driver's license or some form of photo ID is required when boarding an airplane to enter and return from the mission field.
